(VEGAN) FOOD & TRAVEL GUIDE FOR ONE WEEK IN IBIZA

If you’re looking for the ultimate recommendations on what to do (except partying), where to eat (vegan food with a view), where to drink (the best mojitos) and where to enjoy the most beautiful beaches in Ibiza, then this travel guide is for you!

Before booking this trip Ibiza was actually associated mainly to partying for me. However, I was so positively surprised by the beauty of the island: the crystal clear water, the friendly locals, the delicious (plant-based) food and the great options for so much more to do except partying! Of course, you can also go out, if you want, but actually Ibiza really offers so much for all target groups: couples, families, friends etc.

I really enjoyed my trip to Ibiza and hope my recommendations make your time on this beautiful island even better!

Lots of love,
Magda

Getting around Ibiza

The best way to make your way through the beautiful island of Ibiza is obviously to rent a car. Make sure to feel confident driving the southern kind of way and park your car a bit outside if you’re not so happy about tiny parking lots (who is that anyways). There are also some buses available, but in order to really be fully flexible I would really suggest renting a car. Also the distances are potentially a bit too far with the scooter except if you’re getting a bigger machine obviously.

my favorite Beaches in Ibiza:

The list of beautiful beaches in Ibiza is actually endless. If you’re flexible and keen to discover a bit more of the island then you can take some great day trips around the island and you will be rewarded with crystal clear water and amazing beaches around actually every corner. I summarized my favorite ones for you below.

  • Cala Saladeta (great cliffs, crystal clear water but bring your umbrella as there is little shade)

  • Cala Escondida (one of my favorite spots not only because of the cute little chiringuito)

  • Cala Nova (you can find golden fine sand and crystal clear water for relaxed day at the beach)

  • Cala Portinatx (a bit further away but worth the drive, less people and great restaurants nearby)

Restaurants, Coffee Spots and Bars (we actually visited)

  • Chiringuito Cala Escondida
If you want to enjoy a relaxed day at a beautiful beach while also sipping on a juicy fresh passion fruit mojito then Chiringuito at Cala Escondido is the perfect spot for you. The super relaxed vibe invites you to stay the whole day (which we obviously did) for mojitos & guacamole.

  • The Giri Café
I admit I can get into a Instagram/ Google Maps food spot search loop prior to vacations but the Giri Café shows again that it’s worth it! The beautiful hidden spot is perfect for a relaxed lunch in their big garden. The ingredients were super fresh and great for a light summer meal.
Location: Plaza de España, 5, 07810 San Juan Bautista

  • Los Enamorados Ibiza
On our last day we decided to drive all the way up to Portinatx. We found the amazing hotel/ restaurant Los Enamorados and literally were in love. From the carefully selected interior to the cute little shop, the drinks & the beautiful beach next to it, simple a perfect spot you should visit!
Location: Ctra. Vénda de Portinatx, 103, 07810 Portinatx

  • Sunset Ashram
If you need to decide for one sunset spot than you should not miss Sunset Ashram. You can also grab dinner or small snacks there, however the place get’s truly magical when the live music starts to play and people slowly start to dance until late at night - a great experience!
Locations: Carr. de Cala Conta, s/n, 07829

  • Aiyanna Ibiza
Located next to the super chill Cala Nova you can find Aiyanna. We reserved a spot beforehand online (simply as we traveled in August, so high season) but you can also try to just drop in for a table. We really liked the relaxed atmosphere as well as the food and dink menu at Aiyanna!
Location: Playa de, Av. Cala Nova, 07850 Eivissa

  • Cotton Beach Club Ibiza
I’m not very fond of super fancy beach bars/ clubs where you it’s only about “being seen and seeing others”. Still, I added this fancy spot on my list as the view over the breathtaking Cala Tarida was simply so beautiful and you can just grab a smoothie while enjoying your siesta.

  • Restaurante Can Bof
I can not put in words how special this hidden local restaurant was! From the breathtaking view over the port, the amazing refreshing Sangria (I mean look at the massive jar!) and the delicious authentic food. Make sure to visit Can Bof and reserve beforehand to get a spot for dinner.
Location: Carrer de s'Illa Plana, s/n, 07800 Eivissa

  • Pantastic Ibiza
If you’re looking for a great speciality coffee (with plant-based milk!), delicious pastries and/ or bread, I can really recommend checking out this little cute bakery. There are only a few spots inside and outside available so make sure to come early or grab your delicious treats to go.
Location: Carrer de Castella, 20, 07800 Eivissa

  • Vivi's Creamery
If you know me well, then you know that I can’t resist a creamy gelato (especially pistachio!). Thus, I was more than happy to find Vivi’s Creamery and their amazing authentic ice cream. I’m super picky when it comes to gelato, but this spot definitely was up to my high standards!
